Climate:

The Gold Coast has a comfortable, subtropical climate with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year.  Our average temperatures are: Spring (Sep-Nov) 15°C-25° C; Summer (Dec-Feb) 20°C-35°C; Autumn (Mar-May) 15°C-25°C; Winter (Jun-Aug) 11°C-21°C.  In winter, jeans and a sweatshirt are usually enough and in summer, lightweight clothing (like shorts and t-shirt) is essential as it is hot and humid. 

City Growth:

Gold Coast City has reigned supreme as the fastest growing city in Australia for more than 4 decades. Population growth within Australia has been 3.2 % per annum over the last 5 years. Our world famous surf beaches, spectacular hinterland, buzzing economic activity, coupled with our existing education centres and strongly emerging IT industry make the Gold Coast an ideal place for study.

Most number of Universities per Capita:

The Gold Coast has more universities per head of population than any other place in Australia - Griffith University, Bond University, Central Queensland University GC, Southern Cross University, as well as colleges and TAFE.  It makes the Gold Coast truly an ideal place for study.

As the Gold Coast is the tourist capital of Australia, greater job opportunities exist here than in any other city in Australia.
